Les Quennevais students hold successful fashion show
by Jeff Hathaway

The evening of Wednesday June 10th saw Les Quennevais School Hall transformed for a fashion show presented by pupils from all year groups. The event was a sell out with an audience of 285 parents and their families. Emma Simon, Chairperson of the Les Quennevais Home & School Association told La Baguette:
“ The event was a tremendous success, and also raised substantial amount of money for the Association to assist it in providing a range of additional facilities for the school and pupils” She explained: “The Association supplies a variety of things from sports equipment to support in helping students to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.” She continues: “ We are particularly indebted to Almina Hair Salon at Red Houses who provided their services free of charge to our ‘models’. I would also like to mention Lauren Glover, a Year 10 student, who was simply great with the younger girls, helping them to choose their clothes and getting them ready to take to the catwalk”
The event was organised and co-ordinated by Julie Ashley, Assistant Head Teacher - Community. Peter Rollinson recorded the event, and a dvd is available from the school - at a small charge. Proceeds go to the Les Quennevais Home & School Association.
