The La Baguette website has been designed to archive the news from each printed edition of the newsletter, and as a ‘tool’ for the community to use as an alternative means of communication.
Unfortunately the newsletter’s financial constraints only allow it to be published around 4-5 times a year, and inevitably, some of the items are not always ‘new’, and of course, some events fall between editions.
That’s where the website comes in. Whether you wish to publicise an event taking place in the parish, or make information widely available, or simply to advertise (commercially or otherwise), the website is there for you to use and hopefully enjoy. Commercial advertising banners are very important to us and have a small charge to help cover the site’s modest costs.
The site also has a blog area. If you want to have a ‘rant’ or express an opinion in more measured terms, the opportunity to do so is there. Bloggers can remain anonymous if they wish, by using an online name. So, who is going to be our first blogger?
We must point out that blogs are moderated, that is to say the content is approved by our ‘blogmaster’ before being posted to the site. This is to avoid publication of any libellous or defamatory remarks, and of course abusive language; any abuser can expect to be permanently blacklisted.
The site now carries a photo gallery of the works being undertaken to conserve Warren Farm. This will be added to as work progresses.
Businesses wishing to advertise in La Baguette will also find a downloadable rate card with contact details and technical specification on the site under the tab ‘Advertisers’.
Site banner advertisers should contact us by email at sitebanners@labaguette.org.je Where banner advertisers have there own sites, a link will be provided. To find out more log onto labaguette.org.je
